Declaration by the Design/Supervising Engineer
The Engineer Certificate confirms that structural designs for a project adhere to British Standards and relevant codes of practice. The form also binds the engineer to supervise the construction and provide the Planning Authority with updates, structural checks, and certification upon project completion.
The "Engineer Certificate" is mandated by the Town and Country Planning Act and issued under the authority of the Seychelles Planning Authority. It ensures that all structural components of a development are designed and supervised by qualified professionals, maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.
The original signed certificate must be submitted to the Planning Authority; photocopies are not accepted. Both the engineer and developer/owner must sign this document to validate their commitment to the project.
