Commencement notice
The Commencement Notice is essential for notifying the Planning Authority of the start of construction. It serves as a formal record that confirms the construction will proceed according to the approved plans and regulations. This document requires the involvement of both the contractor and the property owner, with verification from a licensed engineer.

The "Commencement Notice" is a requirement under the Town and Country Planning (Building) Regulations, 1975, to ensure that construction projects adhere to regulatory standards.
This notice must be hand-delivered to the Seychelles Planning Authority and is only valid for 15 days after submission. Contractors must include a copy of their license and the PF4 form when submitting. If delays occur, a fresh notice is required.
